Fake an Egg Map Guide: Egg Field, Pens and Exit Routes
A real Fake an Egg map guide: central egg field, player pens, shop ring, rebirth circle, danger spots and the fastest safe route back to your base.
Fake an Egg has one map, not a rotating set of biomes. It is a ring of player pens around a shared egg field, with a shop strip and a rebirth circle on the outside. Once you can name those four parts, every route in the game becomes obvious.
This guide maps the layout as it plays on October 26, 2026, including where players ambush, where the owner's bat reaches, and which way to run when you are carrying someone else's Griffin.

The four parts of the map
| Area | What is there | Why you care |
|---|---|---|
| Central egg field | Every permanent egg, each with a price label. See the full egg list | Cheapest place to stand, most crowded place to be caught |
| Player pen ring | One fenced pen per player, username above the gate | Where cash is made and where steals happen |
| Shop strip | Sell shop, Fuse Machine, leaderboards, pet food, Scanner stand, Weather Machine | Where owners lose sight of their nests |
| Outer ring | Rebirth circle, spawn area, decorative space | Your escape lane and the safest long run |
There is no "unlockable zone" and no biome gate. Sites that describe a starter biome, a rare biome and an unlockable biome are describing a different game. Everything on this map is reachable from the first minute.
Spawn and the first route
You start near the outer ring, facing the tutorial pen. The tutorial walks you through buying a Bunny Egg, carrying it to a nest pad, and hatching it.
The first real route is short: spawn → central egg field → your pen. Your pen is the fenced square with your username floating above it. If you cannot find it, look for the pen with an empty nest pad and no pets; that is usually yours before you buy anything.
Do not walk eggs through the middle of the field if you can avoid it. Players cut across the centre constantly, and a player carrying an egg is a slow, obvious target for a thief looking for a free disguise.
The pen: your base layout
Each pen has the same furniture:
- Nest pads for hatching eggs.
- A feeder on the left side, which gives a 50% cash bonus when full.
- A green pipe used to disguise and enter other pens.
- A slot upgrade sign behind the pen, reached by walking around the back fence.
- A gate or opening facing the field.
The pipe is the important one. It is both your way out and the way other players get in. A pen with pets by the pipe is a pen that gets robbed. Move your best pets to the far nests once you can afford the walk.
The shop strip, in walking order
Starting from the leaderboards and moving around the ring:
- Leaderboards — the tall boards showing top cash and pets.
- Sell shop — where you sell pets you have removed from your pen.
- Fuse Machine — hold three pets nearby to combine them.
- Pet food stand — Carrot ($2,000, about 5% of the bar) and Apple (rebirth 2, about 12%).
- Shark cage — the free Shark unlock after liking and joining the group.
- Weather Machine — triggers weather events, some paid with Robux.
- Scanner stand — limited-stock scanners that tell a real egg from a disguised player.
Owners cluster at the sell shop, the food stand and the leaderboards. That cluster is your best entry window: they are three or four seconds of walking away from their nests, which is enough to grab a pet and reach the pipe.
The rebirth circle
The rebirth button sits on the far right of the screen as a red-and-white arrow, and the physical rebirth area is on the outer ring near spawn. Rebirth resets your cash and grants a multiplier; it keeps your pets.
Do not rebirth in the middle of a steal run. You will come back with no cash for food or slots, which makes the next hour slower, not faster. Spend spare cash on permanent upgrades first.
Danger points
The nest row by the pipe. Highest-traffic spot in every pen. Owners check it constantly because they know it is where thieves land.
The centre of the egg field. Open ground, no cover, and every player passes through. If you are carrying a pet, crossing the centre doubles your exposure.
Right in front of the owner. The bat has a short reach but a fast swing. If the owner is between you and the exit, do not gamble on outrunning them; leave and pick another pen.
Crowded pens during events. Admin events and Halloween spawn extra players around the field. More witnesses means more people who will chase you for fun, not just for the pet.
The Scanner stand queue. Standing still while reading a shop UI is how owners lose pets. If you own something valuable, do not shop with your back to the nests.
Escape routes that actually work
Route 1: pipe → edge of field → outer ring → your pen. The long way around, but it keeps fences and shop stalls between you and the owner. Best for high-value pets.
Route 2: pipe → straight to your pen. Fastest, and fine when the owner is at the food stand. Risky if they are near the nests.
Route 3: pipe → another player's pen → out the far side. Only works if pens are adjacent and open. Do not rely on it; a locked or empty pen wastes the seconds you need.
While carrying a pet, hug the fence line. The owner has to cut corners to catch you, and most players do not. If they are already swinging, drop the steal and run; a failed steal costs a trip, not your account.
How to tell if a pen is worth entering
Before you take the pipe, look through the fence:
- Pets near the exit: good target, short carry.
- Owner at the feeder or shop: good timing.
- Owner standing still, facing the nests: skip it.
- Multiple players inside: skip it; someone will call you out.
- Pets at the back, owner at the front: high risk, high reward. Only if you have a clear exit.
The best pen is not the one with the most expensive pet. It is the one where the owner is farthest from the pet you want and closest to a shop UI.
Event changes
Halloween added decorations, themed eggs and admin events around the same layout. The map geometry did not change: same field, same pens, same shop strip. Event props can block sight lines near the centre, which helps a thief and hurts an owner.
Admin events such as Mr. Egg Party add crowds and special eggs, usually near the field. Expect lag, expect people running, and expect your normal route to be slower. If you are hunting event pets, arrive early and leave before the crowd peaks.
FAQ
Is there more than one map in Fake an Egg? No. There is one persistent map with a central egg field, player pens, a shop strip and an outer ring.
Where is the best place to steal? Any pen whose owner is at the shop strip. The pet's position matters more than its rarity.
How do I get back to my pen fast? Learn the outer ring. Cutting through the egg field is shorter on paper and slower in practice because of traffic.
What is the green pipe for? It lets you disguise as one of your unlocked eggs and enter another player's pen. It is also the exit you use after a steal.
Where is the rebirth button? On the far right of the screen as a red-and-white arrow; the physical area is on the outer ring near spawn.
Do Halloween decorations change the map? They change the look and add event props, not the layout. Routes stay the same. See the Halloween event page for dates, and the beginner guide for the first run through this layout.
