Tame An Animal Animals: Bestiary and Spawn Guide

No official bestiary exists yet. Here is what the game confirms about animals, how taming and storage work, and how to log every spawn you find.

Last Updated: October 27, 2026

There is no official animal list for Tame An Animal. No wiki, no spreadsheet from the developer, no in-game compendium we could find on October 27, 2026. The game launched on August 23 that year and updates almost every week, so any full list published today would be wrong within a month anyway.

What we can do is more useful than a fake list: explain how the collection actually works, show the two creatures the developer has confirmed in official art, and give you a logging method that produces your own bestiary — accurate to your server and your build.

What the game itself confirms

The official description is short and specific. It says you defeat wild animals, summon animals to fight with you, conquer dungeons for rewards, and explore with ships and mounts. It never names an animal, never lists a rarity scale and never mentions an index.

The official art adds two creatures:

Creature Where it appears What it tells you
Purple crystal wolf Main thumbnail, player taming it with a bluish beam There are large quadruped predators that must be weakened before taming
Blue crystal dragon Halloween icon, player touching its jaw There are dragon-tier creatures, likely rarer and later in progression

Both are glowing, faceted crystal animals, which matches the CRYSTALCOVE event theme. That does not mean every animal in the game is crystal — it means the marketing art is event-flavoured, and a normal-build animal may look nothing like it.

How an animal becomes yours

Four systems decide what you can actually use, and the store reveals all four.

Taming takes a fight. You do not buy eggs. You lower a wild animal's health, then hold the tame interaction. The store sells Instant Tame and Auto Tame, which exist because the free version has a timer and requires you to stay on target.

Summoning is separate from owning. Owning an animal fills storage. Summoning puts it on the field. Auto Command then lets you automate the orders you give a summoned animal, which implies a command wheel or hotbar rather than fire-and-forget pets.

Storage is the real cap. The +100 Storage pass is the largest single number in the store, which suggests a base capacity well under a hundred. If you tame everything you meet, you will hit that cap in a day.

Team size is the real decision. +2 Equip Slots is a paid upgrade, so the free team is small — small enough that each slot is a choice between roles rather than a place to park favourites.

Rarity: what is confirmed and what is not

Roblox games usually show rarity in three places: a coloured frame on the animal's card, a label under the name, and a summon animation. We could not verify any of those for Tame An Animal without playing the current build, so here is the honest split.

Question Status
Does the game have rarity tiers? Almost certainly, based on the store and the art. Not confirmed in writing.
What are the tiers called? Unknown. Do not trust a page that lists "Common / Rare / Epic / Legendary" for this game unless it shows a screenshot.
Do rarer animals spawn in specific zones? Unknown. The map gates zones behind ships and mounts, so zone-gated spawns are likely, but unproven.
Do animals respawn on a timer? Unknown. Test it with the method below.
Is there a shiny or variant system? No evidence.

Treat every unverified claim the same way: write it down, test it, then believe it.

Build your own bestiary in one session

You do not need a spreadsheet app. A note on your phone with six columns is enough, and it will be more accurate than any third-party list within a week.

Column What to record
Name Exactly as the game shows it, including capitalisation
Zone The area name on the map, plus a landmark you can find again
Level or HP signal Any number over the animal's head, or the hit count it takes to drop it
Damage dealt How much one of your hits removes, so you can compare animals fairly
Tame attempts How many tries before the bar filled, and whether it failed
Respawn Time from tame to the next spawn in the same spot

Six entries is a real bestiary. Sixty is a competitive one.

Testing spawns without wasting an hour

Spawn data is the easiest thing to get wrong, because a single sighting proves nothing. Run it as an experiment.

  1. Clear one small zone completely. Tame or defeat every animal you can see, then note the time.
  2. Stand still and watch. Record when the first animal reappears and where. Most games use either fixed points or a roaming pool, and the difference shows up in the first two minutes.
  3. Hop servers twice. If the same animal appears in the same spot on three servers, the spawn is fixed. If the zone refills with different animals, it is a pool.
  4. Change zone and come back. Some games only spawn while a player is nearby. This step catches that.
  5. Repeat at a different time of day. Weekly updates and events can add or remove spawns, and the Halloween event is a live example.

Write down what you saw, not what you expected. A wrong entry is worse than a blank one, because you will plan around it later.

Tame success: what to test

The tame bar is the one mechanic every player will grind, so it is worth ten minutes of controlled testing.

  • Health threshold. Bring one animal to 50%, try; bring another to 20%, try. If the lower one fills faster, health is a factor.
  • Tool and tier. Swap to a different weapon and repeat. Some games gate taming behind a tool tier, and the store's Instant Tame is a separate axis.
  • Interruption. Break line of sight mid-tame and see whether progress holds, drops or resets.
  • Group taming. Have a friend hit the same animal. If the bar moves faster, taming scales with party size and dungeons become easier than they look.

These four tests answer more than a copied tier list, because they tell you how to tame the next animal instead of what somebody else tamed last month.

Where animals fit into progression

The collection is a means, not the goal. Gems and coins come from fights and dungeons, dungeons need a team, and the team is made of tamed animals. That loop means the animals you keep should be the ones that clear content, not the ones that look best in storage.

Once you have five or six entries in your log, move to the best animals tier list and score them by role. If you are still on your first tame, the beginner guide covers the opening hour, and the maps and mounts guide explains which zones you can reach before you own a ship.

FAQ

How many animals are in Tame An Animal? The developer has not published a count. The store's +100 Storage pass suggests a collection large enough that storage management matters, but the actual number is unknown.

Does Tame An Animal have a wiki or index? No official one as of October 27, 2026. This page is a method for building your own, not a copied list.

What is the rarest animal? Unconfirmed. The blue crystal dragon in the Halloween icon is the most elaborate creature in official art, which hints at a high tier, but the game has never said so.

Can you get animals without fighting? Not that we can confirm. Every official description of the game starts with defeating wild animals, and the store sells time-savers rather than animal unlocks.

Do animals have levels? Likely, since you upgrade a team over time, but no official source confirms a level system. Check the animal card in your team menu for a number.

Do event animals disappear after November 2? Unknown. The CRYSTALCOVE + HALLOWEEN event ends that day, and the Halloween guide tracks what is confirmed limited versus what is only themed.
